"Jon is one of the best coaches/ trainers I have been around. He is going to push you to your limit and get the best out of you. Not only will he train you hard physically, but he will force you to become that much mentally tougher to prepare for whatever may come your way. I went from taking a year off football and not doing much training to working with Coach Horton over the summer to get in the best condition of my life and receiving MVP of my conference and All Region Honors! Practice and games felt easy after my offseason training. I would recommend him to anyone that is truly trying to go to the next level!"

Shawn Jackson,

running back from Comstock Park (Comstock Park HS) made All-North Region Second Team by d3football.com.

Jackson is third on Hope's all-time rushing list with 3,289 career yards.

Jackson rushed for 1,160 yards and 12 touchdowns during the 2013 season. It is the sixth-highest single season rushing total in school history and sixth most rushing touchdowns.

Jackson was voted Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) MVP by the league's coaches this season. It marked the 25th time a member of the Flying Dutchmen had been awarded MVP honors.

Jackson was one of two first-team, All-MIAA running backs. He rushed for 710 yards in league play and topped the MIAA in scoring with nine touchdowns and 58 points.

"Jon is an excellent leader, which is evidenced when you watch him coaching football or working one-on-one with athletes. His athletes respect and admire him and that allows him to push the athlete past their limits to become the best they can be."

"If you're looking for a trainer for your athlete, this guy is the real deal. The progress our son has made while training with Jon has been more than we could imagine. From the speed and agility to the weight program to the following up on classroom grades. He cares."

Melissa Martin Rau

"Be warned. This is only for the SERIOUS athlete. If you are scared of hard work I recommend that you choose another " Speed and Agility" trainer in the Grand Rapids area. Coach Horton will change what you know about preparing for a sport. As a military veteran preparing for college football, I thought it would be just another workout. The joke was on me. It is a system that is three times harder than anything I have ever put my body through. The only easy part is going home when it is finished. This will separate you from anyone on your roster. If you want to be average, then continue what you are doing. If you want to be great, tie your shoes, stretch and bring water. Leave your excuses at home and get ready to gain 20 plus years of experience through hard work."
